Our client is a NZ-owned and operated business that provides forklift servicing, repairs, and sales to customers across the Auckland region.

They're seeking an organised and proactive Service Operations Coordinator to keep the service team running smoothly - managing people, parts, and processes to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and customers are well looked after.

About the role

This position plays a key part in the daily operation of a busy service team.

You'll coordinate technician schedules, manage service jobs through the system, support invoicing accuracy, and help maintain workshop and compliance records.

It's a mix of administration, planning, and technical understanding - ideal for someone who enjoys keeping things moving behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

» Plan and schedule technician workloads, balancing urgent call-outs and maintenance jobs

» Track and update service jobs using an ERP or service management system

» Liaise with customers, technicians, and suppliers to ensure jobs are completed efficiently

» Support stock control, parts orders, and supplier communication

» Check service documentation and invoices for accuracy

» Maintain compliance and safety records to required standards

» Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance workflows and data accuracy

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys coordination, problem-solving, and communicating with both technical and non-technical people. You'll have great attention to detail and the ability to stay calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.

What you MUST have:

Legal Right to Work in NZ (NZ Citizen, Resident, or valid Work Visa)

Experience coordinating/scheduling servicing work

2+ years proven hands-on mechanical experience (forklifts, heavy machinery, or automotive)

Experience leading/managing others

Proficiency with ERP or Service Management systems

Forklift Operator Licence

Commitment to compliance and safety procedures
