About the Role

This role is responsible for coordinating Goodman Fielder's daily export operations, managing the effective flow of customer orders through to successful deliveries.

This position is part of the Export Customer Services team, responsible for customer orders exporting to a range of internal Wilmar Ingredients and external customers across a number of countries including China, Vietnam, Malaysia, PNG, Philippines, Pacific Islands and UAE.

To make this happen, your responsibilities will include:

  • Customer service and provide proactive updates & manage expectations of export customers through the order and delivery process
  • Process customer orders and shipping instructions including booking freight and ensuring timely delivery with compliant documentation (MPI, Customs etc.)
  • Coordinate with internal & external partners across the supply chain including planning, logistics, regulatory bodies & ports to ensure smooth delivery
  • Resolve customer issues promptly, manage delays & escalation and provide reporting on performance across customer channels

About You

For this role to be a success you will need a background in freight forwarding, shipping or supply chain. An understanding of both import and export would be highly desirable.

Skillsets, qualifications and experience we are looking for include:

  • A working understanding of Import & export with a background in shipping, freight forwarding or 3PL
  • The ability to speak Mandarin would be beneficial
  • Prior experience working with MPI and Customs
  • Experience of working in SAP and/or a freight forwarding system
