About the role

As the Business Development Manager at Airtight Solutions Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth and expansion into new markets. This full-time position, based in Christchurch, Central Canterbury, will see you spearheading the company's new business development efforts, leveraging your expertise in sales and strategic partnerships to identify and secure high-value opportunities.

What you'll be doing

  1. Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to identify, pursue and convert new business opportunities
  2. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients and industry partners
  3. Preparing and presenting compelling sales proposals and presentations
  4. Continuously monitoring and analysing sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to drive growth
  5. Providing regular updates and reports to the management team on sales activities and pipeline progression

What we're looking for

  1. Proven track record of success in new business development, preferably within the dust control industry
  2. Exceptional communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
  3. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to achieve ambitious sales targets
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions
  5. Mechanical / Engineering background
