Commercial Finance Manager

About the Role

This newly created Commercial Finance role is a pivotal leadership position designed to support the long-term strategy and drive business performance.

This is more than a finance role - it's a chance to be at the heart of shaping Collective's future. You'll play a key role in developing execution plans for our evolving strategy, supporting high-stakes negotiations, and using scenario modelling to explore and influence different outcomes.

This role will provide comprehensive financial leadership to the business, whilst providing accurate and timely maintenance of financial data for business partnering and decision-making purposes.

This role will lead feasibility analysis, financial planning, reporting, compliance, and business partnering activities, whilst bridging the gap between commercial decision-making, financial control and business performance analytics.

You will act as a trusted advisor to the Business Development Manager and wider team, delivering clear, actionable financial insights, maintaining financial compliance, and driving performance.

Main responsibilities:

• Business Partnering: Acting as a trusted advisor, translating financial insights into strategic action.
• Commercial Strategy: Shaping and executing strategies that align with Collective's growth ambitions.
• Financial Management: Leading day to day financial operations including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning to improve profitability.
• Treasury: cash management and treasury functions including assistance in securing and replacing bank and other funding across the group of entities.
• Investor Fund Management: Manage investor database, distributions and shareholder continuity requirements.
• Compliance and Regulatory: Oversee the groups compliance in all secretarial and other corporate and taxation affairs
• Leadership: Setting high standards and supporting a high-performing team to deliver with excellence and commercial acumen.

About You

You're not just a finance leader - you're a strategic thinker, a trusted advisor, and a people-first leader who thrives in complexity. You bring a balance of commercial acumen, leadership maturity, and a collaborative mindset that inspires those around you.

You will bring:

• A fully qualified chartered accountant (or equivalent)
• Strong analytical & financial modelling skills is essential
• Experience in presenting and working with senior leaders, boards, auditors and regulators
• 10+ years' experience in complex corporate environments, ideally within fund management, investment management or property
• Advanced Microsoft excel skills
• Excellent communication and well-developed leadership skills
• Proven leadership in commercial finance, business partnering, and strategy execution.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
• A proactive, action-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity.
