This organisation started as a small GP clinic and has grown to be the Largest kaupapa Māori healthcare organisation in the Western Bay of Plenty, including two GP Clinics with supporting services Pēpi Ora/Well Child, Kaupapa Māori Nurse Services, Oral Health Programs, Mental Health & Whānau Centred Services.

About the Job:

This fast-paced role provides high quality, professional reception, and administration services, essential to the efficient operations of our GP Clinics.

Our medical receptionists are responsible for front desk duties providing excellent customer care to our patients and their whanau.  The successful applicant will assist our team of Registered Nurses and GPs to deliver high-quality care in the clinical practice setting.

This is a full-time equivalent position working 32 hours per week, clinic operating hours, Monday to Friday. The successful applicant will be required to have flexibility to work between both clinics in Pāpāmoa and Tauranga.

About You:

  • At least two years' experience in the reception and administrative fields preferably within a health provider environment
  • Current Resuscitation certificate / First Aid
  • Excellent time management and workload prioritisation skills to ensure completion of tasks within time available.
  • Effective skills in managing change processes involving consultation, planning and implementation.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Commitment to Māori Health and wellbeing
  • Permanent residency
  • Clean drivers licence and criminal record
