About the role

Yaldhurst Family Doctors is looking for a friendly, organised Receptionist to join our team part-time (24 hours/week) in Christchurch. We are looking for someone who is organised, approachable, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team in a busy and rewarding environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting and welcoming patients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Scheduling appointments, managing patient records and taking payments
  • Handling patient inquiries and providing information about our services
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry and inventory management
  • Liaising with other healthcare professionals and external organisations as needed
  • Maintaining a clean and organised reception area

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a Receptionist or in a customer service role, ideally within a medical or healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with patients and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in using computer systems and administrative software
  • A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
