About the role

We are seeking a friendly and experienced Part-time Receptionist to join our dynamic team at Orbit Medical Ltd in Palmerston North Central Manawatu. This is a crucial role that will see you providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our patients and healthcare providers. Working part-time hours, you will be a key point of contact and the first impression of our clinic.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and welcoming manner
  • Handling incoming phone calls and email inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Scheduling appointments and managing patient records
  • Providing administrative support to the medical team as required
  • Maintaining a tidy and organised reception area
  • Assisting with other general office duties as needed

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a medical or healthcare reception role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients and staff in a friendly and professional manner
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • Proficient in using computer systems and office software - Medtech Evolution experience would be an advantage
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality customer service
  • A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a desire to contribute to the wellbeing of our patients
