We're looking for a resilient and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Auckland/Northland region. This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to grow Farmlands' footprint across the region, with a strong focus on solar energy solutions through Farmlands Flex, alongside broader agribusiness offerings.

Reporting to the Head of Key Accounts and Strategic Partnerships, you'll be responsible for:

Driving new business acquisition across agri-solutions, with emphasis on solar energy

Growing market share and deepening customer relationships

Maximising sales, margin and long-term value for Farmlands

Location: This role can be based anywhere in Auckland/Northland and a vehicle is provided as a tool of trade.

You'll be a natural hunter with a passion for rural innovation and sustainability. To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

Proven experience in business development, ideally with exposure to solar energy solutions

Strong B2B sales skills and a track record in cold sales environments

Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement abilities

A broad understanding of the rural sector and its evolving energy needs

Tenacity, adaptability, and the drive to turn challenges into opportunities

Preference will be given to candidates with solar BDM experience, particularly in rural or agricultural contexts.
