About the role
We are seeking an experienced Office / Centre Administrator - Mandarin speaking to join the SportHub Community team in our New Lynn, Auckland location. This full-time role will be an integral part of our operations, providing vital administrative and coordination support to ensure the smooth running of our community-focused sports and recreation centre.
What you'll be doing
- Overseeing all administrative tasks for the centre including front desk reception, booking coordination, document management, and general office duties
- Providing excellent customer service to members, visitors, and stakeholders, responding to inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely manner
- Communicate with community partners, associations, and customers in both English and Mandarin.
- Assisting with the planning and coordination of community events, programs, and sports activities.
- Supporting the management team with various projects and initiatives as required
- Manage contractor and volunteer rosters and communications.
- Maintaining stock levels of office supplies, equipment, and placing orders for our on-site store
- Ensuring all centre policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines are adhered to
- Help set up and prepare spaces (badminton courts, volleyball courts, etc.) as needed.
What we're looking for
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (speaking, reading, and writing) and English.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an administrative or office management role.
- Has strong multi-tasking and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, AI platforms, Canva, Adobe, and general office software.
- Can manage deadlines, priorities, and timelines effectively
- Is confident in administration and customer service (community/busy reception experience a plus).
- Brings initiative, problem-solving, and a "can-do" attitude to a busy, community-focused environment.
