The Role

We are looking for a Superstar Manager who has the expertise to create a fresh, bright experience for every customer who walks through the doors in Dunedin. This role will be managing teams and operations across 2 of the top venues in Dunedin - Dunedin Social Club and Velvet Burger Octagon - both of which are only mere steps away from each other

We are looking for highly skilled, highly paid future leaders of the company. This is a Full-Time position of an average of at least 30 hours per week and a maximum of 60 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the environment within the site is always top notch
  • Guarantee the customer journey for your outlet is being followed by all team members
  • Make sure quality of products, plus waiting times exceed expectation
  • Take responsibility for daily / weekly procedures including ordering, receiving and stock take
  • Lead your team, provide feedback and set a high example by always operating above the line
  • Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget
  • Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions
  • Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance
  • Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service
  • Selecting, training and supervising waiting staff
  • Make reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders

Skills / Experience
  • Some management experience in a hospitality venue with a team bigger than 5
  • Excellent presentation and strong clear communication
  • Leadership, energy and enthusiasm - if you've been a leader in a sports team, school, university or volunteer organisation, we want to hear about it
  • You're looking for a long term career in hospitality
  • A managers certificate or LCQ is preferred
