Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their Whangarei Team.

The Role

The Electrical Engineer will be involved in the full project lifecycle from design and planning through to implementation, commissioning, and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering end-to-end electrical engineering services for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
  • Preparing electrical design documentation, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Overseeing site-based implementation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Working collaboratively with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure design and installation standards are met.
  • Supporting procurement, installation, and delivery of high-quality electrical systems within project timelines.
  • Ensuring health & safety, compliance, and QA/QC procedures are followed throughout all project phases.

Skills And Experience

  • A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 3+ years' experience in electrical engineering, preferably within infrastructure, industrial, or utilities environments.
  • Strong understanding of New Zealand standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in electrical design tools and CAD software.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on-site when required and coordinate with project delivery teams.
  • Proven experience in meeting project deadlines and budgets.
  • Self-motivated and committed to delivering high-quality work.
