Network Operations Coordinator

About the role:
We're looking for a Network Operations Coordinator to join our Fibre team at Northpower, someone who thrives on keeping things running smoothly and enjoys being at the heart of day-to-day fibre network operations.
In this role, you'll support the fulfilment and assurance processes for our fibre services, making sure that service orders, configurations, and fault responses are completed accurately and on time. You'll coordinate with our jointers, installers, and service providers to help restore customer broadband services as quickly as possible.
You'll also play a key part in supporting the team during after-hours events and join our on-call roster from time to time.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinating day-to-day fibre service configuration, activation, and fulfilment.
- Supporting Retail Service Providers (RSPs) with fault management and resolution.
- Monitoring internal alerts and working with technical teams to identify and resolve issues.
- Escalating complex problems to the right internal or vendor teams when required.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring updates are shared across the team.
- Providing performance reports that support service quality and customer experience.
- Assisting during storm or major network events, including after-hours support when needed.
- Championing safe work practices and taking initiative to stop unsafe work when necessary.
About You:
- Experience in broadband, telecommunications, or an ISP environment (preferred).
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal.
- A high level of computer literacy and comfort working with operational systems.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and coordinate multiple priorities.
- A tertiary qualification or relevant industry experience (desirable).
