- Key exec level role in NZ for multinational business
- Strategic operations quality leadership
- Highly cross functional role
The Company:
Our Auckland-based client is a leader in the global nutritional dairy industry and widely regarded as an employer that invests in its staff. With a strong reputation for providing quality products to New Zealand, Australia and Asia, demand for their product is growing at a significant rate.
The Role:
Based at the Auckland facility, this position is responsible for leading the Food Safety & Quality function across the ANZ region including production facilities in Auckland and Otago, supplying nutritional dairy products into both domestic and international markets including China, North Asia and Oceania. The role also covers FS&Q for third party manufacturers and joint venture partners supplying products on behalf of our client.
Reporting to the Regional VP for FS&Q, this position sits on the ANZ leadership team, and is influential in driving the entire ANZ business forward. More directly, the role is responsible for delivering the QFS roadmap for the ANZ division. With a total reporting team of around 40 staff, this position has significant responsibility for mentoring, guiding and managing the team to ensure the business exceeds its responsibilities of manufacturing and distribution of a highly regulated range of products.
You, the Candidate:
As a preferred candidate you will have a tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Science or Nutrition. You will have at least 15 years experience in the infant formula, dairy or pharmaceutical industry and at least 5 years in a senior level quality, compliance or technical management role where you have led and developed your teams and the strategies for your business.
Ideally you will have strong knowledge of cGMP manufacturing processes, preferably nutritional dairy, and have worked collaboratively with other manufacturing departments including production, engineering, regulatory affairs and supply chain. More than that, you'll be well regarded as someone who actively engages with others and drives their team to do the same.
The successful candidate will ideally possess the following attributes:
- Tertiary qualification in Food Technology/Science/Nutrition or similar
- 15+ years operational experience in infant formula, dairy or pharmaceutical sector
- Significant experience in Quality or Food Safety within regulated manufacturing
- 5+ years senior quality, compliance or technical management
- Proactive leadership skills, anticipating and solving issues before that become critical
- A proven ability to complete projects within tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Able to inspire and contribute across the whole business
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to join a dynamic and engaging business in an influential Quality leadership role. This is a permanent role with a competitive salary and the opportunity to be involved at a strategic level.
