**About the Role - Health and Safety Manager**
As part of this role, to oversee and implement our health and safety programs as well as identifying risks, preventing accidents, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role involves training employees, managing safety procedures, and occasionally assisting with on-site work..
You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Develop and conduct training programs on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and health and safety requirements.
- Implement and monitor control measures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Liaise with the Department of Labour and other regulatory bodies.
- Carry out risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain safety files and records.
- Schedule work for the team and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Conduct site safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Assist with on-site work, including soft-washing activities, when required to ensure safety standards are maintained.
- Provide first aid and firefighting assistance when necessary.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining safety standards and addressing any concerns.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of safety equipment and PPE.
Qualifications:
Professional registration as a Construction Health and Safety officer (SACPMP)
