About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Farm Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of five dairy farms and two dry stock farms. This is a leadership role focused on optimising production, ensuring animal welfare, and managing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate operations across the seven farms to achieve production and quality targets.
  • Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to farm managers, contract milkers, and share milkers, cultivating a collaborative and high-performing work culture.
  • Oversee herd health, feed, and pasture management programs.
  • Develop and manage budgets, monitor KPIs, and report on performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental, and animal welfare standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement and implement innovative farming practices.
  • Develop key relationships with suppliers and industry partners.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in dairy farm management or large-scale agricultural operations.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Knowledge of pasture management, animal health, and milk production systems.
  • Financial acumen and ability to manage budgets effectively.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in farm management software and data analysis tools.
