**_Who we are/Mō te tīma_**

The Higher Education Development Centre (HEDC) at the University of Otago was officially established as an academic department in 1978. HEDC is one of the oldest departments of its kind anywhere in the world. We provide a service to the University and contribute to the development of University policy on teaching and learning, as well as academic support, research and advice to staff and students.

**_The role/Te mahi_**

Key tasks include:

- Contributing to the development of an annotated bibliography to support project discussions and reporting.
- Assisting team with organising, attending and reporting on administrative and research meetings.
- Assisting the team with analysing data collected and compiling final data sets for long-term maintenance.
- Summarising and compiling the data and assist with the writing of a research publication.

This is a unique opportunity for a committed individual to make a contribution while being well supported by a collegial and dynamic Department and University.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- A Bachelors or higher qualification.
- Some research experience and skills.
- Good administration skills and time management skills.

- Ability to work with students, teachers and staff from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds, from all departments and divisions, and at all levels of the institution.
