We are seeking a highly motivated Research Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide research support and assistance for the Collaboration of Ageing Research Excellence Theme (CARE).

The role involves managing research projects, conducting literature reviews, facilitating workshops, and assisting with data collection. You'll also coordinate events, oversee communications, and support funding applications.

The successful candidate will have expertise in qualitative research in any field of social science or science, with an interest in ageing.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the Ageing in Place Ōtepoti research project, ensuring effective management and progress.
  2. Conduct in-depth literature reviews on co-design and ageing in place research to inform best practices.
  3. Strengthen CARE's engagement with the ageing community, supporting its mission and strategic objectives.
  4. Assist in planning and coordinating the New Zealand Association of Gerontologists Conference.
  5. Identify and apply for grants to secure funding opportunities that support CARE's initiatives.

Requirements:

  1. A Master's degree in a relevant field.
  2. Proven experience in qualitative data collection and analysis.
  3. A background in grant writing and securing research funding.
  4. Experience in academic writing, including literature reviews and research publications.
  5. Demonstrated ability to engage with communities and foster meaningful connections.
