We are seeking two experienced senior partnerships advisors to work within our City Partnerships team, who cover a wide variety of council focus areas including: Ngāti Toa Rangatira and Māori partnerships; Pacific relationships; children and young people; community well-being; village planning; consultation and engagement and, strategic partnerships. We always put our community and residents at the centre of our thinking, so we need smart people who are innovative and want to make things better.

We have two roles available and hope to appoint to portfolios suited to the successful applicants skills and experience.
**Some key responsibilities the senior advisor roles will assist with include the following**:

- Providing welfare and emergency management support to manager including Alternate Welfare Manager duties in our Emergency Operations Centre, as requested
- Coordination and delivery of Covid-19 Recovery Report for Council
- Commencing strategic approach for all funding across the team including participation in PNZ Wellington Funders Network
- Village Planning projects - governance, financial management and reporting to ELT and Council
- Strategic coordination of anti-graffiti projects and murals including strategy for managing art across the city; relationship management of our graffiti removal contract with Waitangirua Action Group

Other key responsibilities that will be divided amongst the two senior advisors working along others in the team are outlined below.

Working in collaboration with the Partnerships Advisor - Children and Young People (CYP) to oversee the programme delivery of the strategic priority putting children and young people at the heart of the city with key responsibilities.
**Responsibilities will include the following**:

- Provide programme leadership support including leading some projects and initiatives and performing engagement work to share this portfolio with the CYP Partnership Advisor
- Manage key relationships across the education sector agencies and youth-based agencies
- Understanding and working within the CYP Strategic Framework
- Provide advocacy and engagement to the CYP Status Report and Annual Report
- Build a programme of work in collaboration with the Partnerships Advisor which supports the successful delivery of the Secondary School Work Experience programme, Schools Road Safety programme, Youth Wellbeing Network plus other key projects listed in the City Partnerships team workplan
**The other advisor will oversee the programme delivery of the strategic priority advocating for and providing a safe, healthy, and thriving community with key responsibilities such as the following**:

- Provide programme leadership to the social and community investment and support portfolio. This will include leading some projects and initiatives and performing engagement work
- Manage the key relationships across social sector agencies and community organisations
- Managing the social and community investment contracts (multiple)
- Homelessness advocacy and coordination
- Housing strategy input

We are looking for senior advisors who have significant experience in the delivery of programmes to communities and partnership programmes; including consultation and engagement expertise in both public (face to face) and online forums. You will be known for your excellent stakeholder engagement skills as well as your highly developed facilitation skills. You will have previously managed contracts and contractors and be skilled at interfacing between members of the community, stakeholders and elected members.
