**About the role**
Work closely and effectively with the wider health and safety team to ensure consistent and effective delivery of health and safety systems, processes, tools and training across the organisation. Create and drive a culture where safety of people comes first.
**Duties**
- Provide advice and technical assistance to managers and staff on all Health and Safety aspects
- Educate field staff and provide full support and assistance
- Investigate and follow up with incidents, in an outcome focussed manner
- Collaborate with staff to inspire safe working practices
- Undertake project work as required
**Skills and experience**
- Solution and outcomes focused
- Solid working knowledge of NZ health and safety legislation and regulations
- Relevant qualification in OHS
- Able to operate in a autonomous and collaborative fashion
- Extensive experience as a Health and Safety Advisor or Business Partner
- Prior experience in a science / field-based / high risk environment is preferred
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders
