**About the Company & Culture**:
MotorSport New Zealand is a not-for-profit National Sporting Organisation appointed by the FIA as the sole authority to regulate motorsport in New Zealand. As well as the competitors’, officials and member clubs, MotorSport New Zealand has responsibilities to the motor trade and other supporters, government, the public and to the FIA. Together with its organisational role, MotorSport New Zealand is concerned with the fitness of drivers, circuit (including all courses and tracks) safety, the construction and eligibility of vehicles, all aspects of safety, administration of justice and the progress of motorsports in New Zealand. The membership of the organisation has continued to expand and has over 90 member clubs holding membership.

**About the role**:
As the Health & Safety Manager, you will be passionate and dedicated about building a positive H&S culture by leading, promoting and regulating safe work practices. You will provide expert advice and guidance to all club members and volunteers to ensure that everyone goes home safely at the end of the day.

**Core duties**:

- Review and improve safety at motorsport events for competitors, officials, and spectators
- Maintain overall responsibility for motorsport safety, risk and compliance requirements
- Assist’s in managing Volunteer welfare
- Providing a central point of coordination by implementing consistent volunteer management process across the organisation
- Help Departments and Clubs around volunteer management

**Employment details**:
**Location**:Work remotely anywhere in New Zealand but travel will be required to the Head Office and various events held across the country 1-2 times per month which regularly fall on weekends
**Hours**: 40 hours per week, flexible start and finish times, some weekend and after hours work will be required due to the nature of the role
**Salary**:Range from $90,000 to $110,000 per annum depending on experience

**About you**:

- A well-versed Health and Safety Advisor who is solutions driven and a lateral thinker that will be able to present solutions to assist the club members
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Risk Management, Health & Safety, Audit and Assurance
- Motorsport is a high-risk sport, and are looking for someone with Health & Safety experience from either a Sports, Recreational, Adventure or Tourism background
- Proven experience in improving systems, processes, and practices identifying gaps and providing and communicating practical solutions
- Strong people skills, ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
