**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
Within Service Improvement and Innovation, the Health Analytics function has been established to provide health analytics and insights which support planning and delivery of better, more equitable health services.
The primary purpose of the role is to collaborate with stakeholders across Te Whatu Ora to integrate achievable metrics into their strategic plans and formulate operational key performance indicators for actionable insights. In this role, you will play a crucial role in advancing a data-driven approach within the health system by enhancing data proficiency. You will steer future business intelligence strategies by synthesizing user story scenarios from collaborative forums across Health Analytics and other areas.
On a day-to-day basis, you will take a lead role and the responsibility for providing analytical advice on identified service, process and system, quality, and IT improvement projects and interventions to enhance efficiency across the broader health system. You will also be responsible for overseeing change management requirements as necessary.
As a Business Intelligence Business Partner, you will possess the capability to shape and contribute to cross-agency initiatives, taking a leading position in business intelligence program and portfolio planning, as well as participating in investment discussions.

You will be required to work with a range of teams and audiences in this role so you will need to be an excellent communicator who is able to engage with stakeholders and network across the organisation and sector.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- A relevant tertiary qualification.
- Minimum of 10 years work experience in a related discipline.
- Extensive knowledge of the public sector environment and experience working on cross-sector projects.
- Be competent in BI tools currently in use at Te Whatu Ora, e.g. Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, SFN, Microsoft SQL Server, Excel, SSRS
