Your focus will be on strengthening business operations, driving revenue growth, and delivering memorable experiences for our manuhiri. **Key Responsibilities** Commercial Strategy: - Provide insightful analysis of business performance and identify actions to achieve strategic goals. - Collaborate with finance teams to improve forecasting and streamline processes. - Develop financial models to support investment decisions and resource allocation. - Monitor revenue progress and ensure business efficiency through regular reviews of costs and structures. Business Development: - Support the creation and execution of strategic and annual sales plans. - Identify new business opportunities through market research and networking. - Develop innovative event and retail offerings to grow revenue and enhance visitor experiences. - Foster a high-performance sales culture and motivate the team to exceed KPIs. Governance Support: - Provide quality advice and information to the Executive and Governance Board. - Build effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure strong governance outcomes. Cultural Confidence: - Actively participate in cultural development activities to enhance your understanding of Ngāi Tahu tikanga and te reo Māori. - Support a bicultural workplace that honors Te Tiriti o Waitangi. - Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment where colleagues feel empowered to grow their cultural knowledge. Health & Safety: - Lead by example to promote a culture of health and safety excellence. - Ensure all workplace hazards are identified and effectively managed. **About You** Skills and Experience - 5+ years of post-tertiary professional experience. - Strong corporate and strategic background, with business writing skills at executive and board level. - Advanced Excel skills, with experience in Google Docs and Power BI advantageous. - Familiarity with the tourism industry and a proven ability to create and grow new services. **Qualifications**: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
