Operations Manager

CIC is looking for an Operations Supervisor who will be Reporting to the Director, you will be leading a team of project managers, site managers and QS’s and admin staff. This will involve managing day to day operations with regular updates and interaction from internal staff subcontractors and other consultants. You will be proactively monitoring commercial and contractual issues and providing feedback. You will be ensuring projects costs are measured, monitored, and agreed upon. There will also be a strong emphasis on OSH and compliance. The role will see you performing wider operational responsibilities such as regional reporting on budgets, board reporting, procurement and ensuring positive subcontractor relationships, team creation, staff management and development, identifying new business opportunities, risk management, and enhancing business relationships with all stakeholders.

**Key success factors for this role require**:

- A trade qualification and ideally coupled with a tertiary qualification
- Sound knowledge of the local construction market and relevant commercial construction legislation
- Business relationship management and development skills
- Solid programming skills and an advanced user of MS Project
- Strong financial management with ability to drive cost accountability
- Extensive experience in staff management, mentoring and operational management

**What you'll be doing**:
Your main focus will be to will develop our alignment with our customers, work with our maintenance teams to deliver cost effective and efficient maintenance activity delivery and to lead a key business area in the region.

**What we need from you**:

- Minimum 5 years relevant maintenance experience (including job and project management).
- Familiar with NZS 3910, Construction Contracts Act, NOC and NEC contracts.
- A solutions-oriented attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Practical minded, hands-on approach.
- Passionate about health and safety.
- Proven client relationship management skills.
The key responsibilities are helping grow the business by finding new opportunities, researching leads, establishing relationships with potential clients, managing both the operations process, embracing design, planning, control, performance improvement, and operations strategy.

Licence/Certification:

- Minimum 5 years relevant maintenance experience (preferred)
