Mō te tūnga | The role
This is a fixed-term role reporting to the Senior Manager Wealth & Poverty Statistics. Your main focus is providing support for up to 12 managers and principal technical leaders. You will pro-actively manage their diaries, organise and cater for internal and external meetings and events, book travel, manage financial transactions, take minutes and perform other required administrative tasks. You will build strong relationships with those managers and principal analysts/advisors and the administrator who looks after the Senior managers of the area and other areas across Stats NZ. You will be valued for your support, good ideas about how to improve our administrative systems and processes, and for being pro-active, accurate, and enthusiastic.

**Starting salary**: $51,461 - $59,837 negotiable

**You will be**:

- Highly organised, have good attention to detail and accuracy;
- friendly, approachable, motivated and positive.
- able to prioritise multiple work streams, and to meet all deadlines in a changing environment;
- an excellent communicator;
- innovative, i.e. looking for new ways to improve existing systems.
- experienced in using MS Office packages.

Although this is not a graduate job, tertiary qualified applicants are most welcome to apply. This role would be a good way into an organisation, and we would look to provide training and development opportunities to a person excelling in this role.
