Permanent- Salaried Full Time- Wellington, NZ, 6011At the Aviation Security Service you will contribute to safe and secure skies for New Zealand.
**About the role**
- Want to be part of a growing and dynamic industry?
- Enjoy understanding what makes things tick?
- Comfortable switching between big picture and detail?
- Love to see the impact of the work you do?
The Aviation Security Service (AvSec) is part of the Civil Aviation Authority, delivering frontline aviation security at six airports across New Zealand with an expanding workforce of over 1,350 staff. Our Workforce and Business Performance team shapes that growth. We are seeking a Workforce Analyst to support the tools we use to manage our large and diverse workforce. You will have an ability to see the big picture and understand the detail, be confident with complex systems, passionate about devising solutions and have a great customer service ethic.
As part of a progressive organisation working in a dynamic environment, we need to be sophisticated in how we manage our work, and always looking to be more effective and efficient. We need an energetic person, with an analytical mind and a drive to improve to keep us on top of our game.
**What we’re looking for**
We want someone with an ability to see linkages, hunger to know more, and an ability to spot small things that make a difference. We are looking for an Analyst who can sift through the facts, see how they fit together, work with others to solve problems, then rise above the detail to get the key messages across to our operational teams. We need someone who isn’t afraid to ask ‘why?’ and is comfortable talking to people to find out and pass your knowledge on. You will always be thinking of the next problem to solve, or the next improvement you can make to help things run better.
This is a permanent position in a small national team with a big impact. A mix of office and remote working is required, so this role can be based at any one of AvSec’s operating locations(Wellington,Auckland,Christchurch, Queenstown or Dunedin).
Come and help New Zealand fly.

We offer 5 weeks of annual leave and can match your Kiwi Saver contribution up to 4%.
The Authority strongly encourages and supports all our people to be vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.
