New Zealand New Zealand Government Full time

We are New Zealand's financial markets conduct regulator, the Financial Markets Authority - Te Mana Tātai Hokohoko.

With an expanding remit and growth journey ahead, it's a great time to join our team.

We have a unique opportunity for a multi-skilled finance leader to make an impact in this newly created role. You'll utilise all of your talents and expertise to ensure the FMA are well supported and financially robust so that together we are able to create a brighter future for consumers and New Zealand's financial markets.

This senior leadership role provides direction and strategic leadership to a new 'hub and spoke' administrative support model that will amplify the level of flexibility and support that our administrators provide right across our diverse organisation. It will also lead the finance teams to continuously respond to the growing and changing needs of the organisation as we embark on the next phase of our transformation so that we are best equipped to deliver to new regimes and our bigger role.

We're looking for our Head of Finance & Business Support to bring finance management expertise, ideally from within a regulatory or government environment. You'll also have a strong service orientation and vision to provide direction to our new Manager, Administration and their support teams.

So what's it like to work at the FMA?

It's purposeful. Our mission is to create a fair and transparent financial sector that serves all New Zealanders. We are looking for people with a strong sense of collaboration and fair play.

It's stimulating. We need to be thinkers and initiators. We're at an exciting stage in our journey where innovation is welcomed, combined with an appreciation for best practice and quality standards.

It's supportive. We have a culture that allows everyone to bring their best selves to work. We value people with open minds, an appetite for ongoing learning and a strong orientation towards collaborative working.

Applications close 5pm Thursday 15th December.
