Head of Procurement

We're a high-growth, high-complexity FMCG manufacturing group — and we're looking for an experienced Head of Procurement leader to take the function to its next stage of maturity.

Why this role matters

As Head of Procurement, you'll lead the Group's sourcing strategy across packaging, raw materials, logistics, and indirect — categories that sit at the heart of our ability to operate, innovate, and grow.

You'll shape the long-term procurement roadmap, strengthen supplier partnerships, embed best-practice governance, and uplift capability across the team and organisation. Your work will directly influence performance, risk, sustainability, and how we show up for our customers.

This is a role for someone who wants to own the strategy, build the structure, and lead the people and systems that will support our next phase of growth.

What you'll lead

Leadership & Capability Development

• Lead and develop a small team, creating a culture of ownership, accountability, and growth.
• Build capability in areas including negotiation, supplier relationship management, commercial analysis, and category leadership.

Strategic Procurement & Category Excellence

• Build and execute the Group Procurement Strategy, ensuring the right structure, capability, and frameworks are in place.
• Translate business priorities into category strategies that deliver value beyond cost — improving service, innovation, sustainability, and supply resilience.
• Drive market insights, benchmarking, and forward-looking planning to inform enterprise sourcing decisions.

Operational excellence

• Oversee efficient and compliant sourcing, contracting, and supplier onboarding across the Group.
• Embed disciplined category management, performance reporting, and governance.
• Partner with Finance to ensure accurate savings reporting, budgeting alignment, and strong commercial forecasting.

Supplier partnership & risk management

• Lead strategic supplier relationships with clear performance expectations and transparent KPIs.
• Negotiate robust commercial agreements and proactively manage supply, price, and quality risks.
• Build collaboration frameworks that unlock innovation and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring

We're looking for an experienced procurement leader who can think strategically, lead through complexity, and bring a disciplined yet collaborative approach to sourcing.

Skills & Experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Commerce, Business, or related discipline.
• Proven success leading procurement in a multi-site FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience in category strategy, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and contract governance.
• Exceptional commercial acumen, analytical capability, and the ability to derive insights from data.
• A track record of lifting capability within a team and influencing effectively at executive level.
• Experience embedding sustainability, ethical sourcing, and supplier diversity into category strategies.
• Familiarity with procurement systems and platforms.
