**Job Description**:
**Job Title**: Senior AV Trading Manager
**Direct Report**: Reporting into Head of Investment and Activation
Role overview
As the Senior AV Trading Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the negotiation, implementation and purchasing of linear and BVOD media across Hearts & Science's client portfolio. To be successful in this role, you will bring your strong history of TV trading experience, coupled with sound negotiation, relationship building skills and an eye for the emerging market.
Your role is responsible for understanding and managing TV costs for relevant client portfolios, ensuring you deliver against all required KPIs for audited clients and meeting any contractual obligations required through trading. As a part of your day-to-day responsibilities, you are expected to engage with the TV media market to ensure you and the team are well informed of new to market developments, audience trends, spend trends and market predictions.
Where applicable, you will also be expected support and mentor your direct team as well as agency's team members, and effectively contribute to the broader agency through active participation in agency initiatives.

TV Buying & Trading
- Prime responsibility of the role will be to manage the buying of all H&S AV clients, monitoring expenditure trackers and cost overview records for client portfolios across TV by financial year.
- Effectively manage and monitor campaigns daily, ensuring we are delivering as planned and strategies are executed as agreed.
- Working with the team to secure and agree market leading pricing.
- Oversees administration of buying: accurate and timely Pegasus uploads, collation and reporting of competitive and market data and ensuring all bookings are made and confirmed.
- Where required, delivers against clearly defined benchmarks and goals for audited clients.
- Leads delivery of data and is involved in regular communication with audit agencies alongside Implementation Director.
- Contributes to internal review of audit presentations prior to client meeting with Planning team.
Relationships & Team Management (Internal & Supplier)
- Build collaborative and fair relationships with TV media owners through active networking; be seen as setting the benchmark for how to conduct media relationships for the team, whilst building a network of industry contacts,
- Meets weekly with Planning Leads to understand priorities, with updates on performance, strategy implementation and market dynamics shared.
- Effectively navigate and resolve conflict externally with TV media partners.
- Exhibit sound business judgment to navigate through everyday client and team challenges and commands respect (and authority when needed).
- Where applicable, effectively motivate, lead, and train the (wider) team to maximise shared objectives.
Process & Ways of Working
- Quality control of output to internal and external teams, including clients.
- Establishes clear processes across all aspects of AV buying and information sharing.
- Media schedules / tracking sheets and all financials to ensure 100% accuracy.
