**Position Overview**:As the **Financial Director**, you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s overall financial strategy, managing financial operations, and ensuring the sustainable growth of the business. You will work closely with senior leadership, providing strategic financial insights, while ensuring that the company's financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Strategic Financial Leadership**:
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support E2 Trading Ltd's business objectives and international expansion.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to guide decision-making processes at the executive level.
- Oversee the company's budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- **Financial Operations Management**:
- Manage and supervise all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve financial efficiency.
- **Risk Management**:
- Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring the long-term financial health of the company.
- Oversee the company’s insurance coverage, tax compliance, and legal compliance from a financial perspective.
- **International Financial Management**:
- Manage cross-border financial transactions, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, taxation, and foreign exchange laws, particularly for our operations in Australia and China.
- Liaise with international partners, banks, and financial institutions to optimize financial performance in these markets.
- **Leadership and Team Management**:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Collaborate with other department heads to ensure financial considerations are incorporated into all key business decisions.
- **Stakeholder Communication**:
- Provide regular financial updates and reports to the Board of Directors, senior management, and other stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities.
**Key Qualifications**:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred), or at least five years of relevant work experience; professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, CA, or ACCA are highly desirable.Minimum of 10 years of financial management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role.

- Proven experience in international trade finance, particularly in Australia and/or China.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and tax laws in New Zealand, Australia, and China.

- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and effective manner.
- Leadership experience with a proven ability to manage and develop high-performing finance teams.
**Desired Skills**:
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, including customs duties, tariffs, and trade agreements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and integrity.
