**We have an exciting opportunity at our Maces Rd Depot in Christchurch to manage the depot operations.**

**About us**:
Go Bus Transport is the largest passenger transport provider in New Zealand, operating 2,000+ vehicles from 40 depots, stretching between North Auckland and Invercargill. Go Bus operates urban, school, on-demand and charter services under it’s Go Bus brand, tour coach and corporate services by Johnston’s Coachlines and airport services by Sky Bus.

Go Bus is part of the Kinetic Group, the biggest mass transit bus operator in Australia and New Zealand. Across Kinetic operations, we move 50 million people per year using 3,000+ buses operated and supported by over 4,000 people.

This role is based at our Maces Rd depot in Christchurch and reports to our South Island Regional General Manager. This is a key leadership role and a great opportunity for a highly motivated, well organised operations professional to join our Christchurch team. Maces Rd is the hub of our Christchurch EV bus operation and currently operates 25 of these vehicles, with more soon to be added to our fleet.

**Role and Responsibilities**
- To manage and maintain the smooth punctual operation of buses on all routes within the contract areas and ensure KPI expectations are consistently achieved.
- To ensure that staff are fully trained in all transport service delivery areas and that quality staff procedures are incorporated in all passenger transport operations.
- To ensure all business tasks are completed on time and as specified.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and all other legislative requirements.
- To work closely with Operations Manager
- Birmingham drive (and other key staff) to ensure a collaborative working environment across both depot locations is achieved.
- Support ongoing recruitment, performance management and business initiatives.

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**
- Proven experience leading a large operational team
- Class 2 licence and a P endorsement, or be willing to obtain these.
- Diploma/Bachelor qualification in business or equivalent
- Driven and resourceful, enjoys working and learning at a fast pace, but pays attention to detail.
- Proven successful experience in an operations leadership role within a transport related business.
- Excellent verbal and written communicator with an ability to positively influence the team.
- Demonstrated a capability to build high performing teams.
- A strong customer and quality focus.
- Financial acumen.
