Te Hapū o Ngāti Wheke Inc is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to join our team. This role is central to ensuring our Rūnanga runs smoothly and effectively, supporting our people, our facilities, and our kaupapa.

As Operations Manager, You Will

  • Support seamless collaboration across teams and help oversee core administrative functions including finance, payroll, HR, IT, Health Safety and Wellbeing, marketing and communications.
  • Oversee the management of operations, facilities, people, and resources
  • Help ensure our cultural values guide all aspects of our mahi.
  • Work closely with kaimahi, whānau, and partners to deliver outcomes that strengthen our hapū, protect our taonga, and contribute to the wellbeing of our people and community.

  • Strong experience in operations, people leadership, and organisational management.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, contracts, and projects to a high standard.

  • Commitment to upholding Ngāi Tahu values, tikanga Māori, and the vision of Te Hapū o Ngāti Wheke.
