Join our team in Wellington or Christchurch to work on an exciting nationwide project to upgrade telecommunications at Fire and Emergency NZ.Mō tēnei tūranga - About the role: Use your experience in the telecommunications industry to provide technical advice to public safety team. This will involve acting as a technical tester during the PSN testing phase and supporting technical owner and business change manager with technical advice and expertise. You will work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.This is a Fixed Term position until 30 June 2025, and can be located in either Wellington or Christchurch.Ko tāu nā i tēnei tūranga - What you'll bring to the role: Bring your excellent telecommunications experience to this project-based position. You will have a strong ability to provide clear and concise technical advice to a wide audience. It would be an advantage to have experience within the emergency sector. You will have strong analytical skills along with a continuous improvement mindset.To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will have:

- Strong experience working in Telecommunications.
- A wide knowledge of communications hardware and its capabilities and role in a complex mobile communications environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate complex information to a wide audience.

The salary range for this role is $100,736 - $111,929 (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.Ko wai mātou - Who are we?
