**About the Role**:
The Head of Build is a key part of the delivery team, responsible for ensuring all sites are built on time and in line with our contractual obligations. This is fixed-term position for two years.

Reporting to the Head of SAED and Build and based in central Auckland (but with flexibility to work remotely), your primary responsibilities will include the following:

- Leadership and management of a multi skilled team of professionals to build approximately 500 sites across the whole of New Zealand.
- Co-ordination with internal acquisition, design, health and safety and test teams.
- Responsibility and Management of 3rd Party Build companies to build sites to time and quality required.
- Ownership of the overall build works programme.
- Co-ordination with third parties including NGCC, Police, colocation partners and other stakeholders.
- Issuing work to third parties and overseeing quotation, and pricing in such a way to minimize cost without reducing quality.
- Responsibility and management of Build Budget within delegated authority from Head of SAED
- Manage transmission, and power teams to overcome blockers and identify innovative site solutions/locations to ensure sites are built in a timely fashion whilst still able to be built efficiently.
- Analyse greenfield, brownfield, and co-location sites and look at trends to best forecast time to build sites.
- Ensure all contractual commitments with regards to building sites are met.
- Ad-hoc reporting on progress of all assigned projects.
- Whilst this is a management position it is expected that it will include some travel to sites to understand work done.

**About You**:
We are keen to hear from individuals with the following skills:

- Good understanding of Mobile/LMR networks.
- Good organisational and persuasive skills to get things done.
- Extensive Knowledge and experience of the requirements for building sites.
- Extensive Knowledge and experience of large-scale rollouts.
- 10+ years of Telecommunications or similar project management experience.
- Extensive experience with managing multi-million-dollar budgets.
- Ability to lead and manage a large team.
- Self-starter with the ability to self-manage.
- Demonstrate Management and leadership experience.
- Great organizational and time-management skills.
- Adaptable and possess an ability to work with others and participate on cross-technology teams.
- Collaborative approach and willingness to pitch in and support the team.
