**Position Summary**

As the Training and Development Officer, you will be critical in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating training and development programs that ensure our management and staff acquire the necessary skills and competencies to meet our organizational objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Needs Assessment**

Collaborate with management to identify training needs and requirements for individuals and teams.

Responsible for conducting surveys, interviews, and assessments to understand skill gaps and organizational goals.
- **Program Development**

Design and create engaging training courses and materials, including handbooks, visual aids, online tutorials, and demonstration models.

Ensure that instructional materials are tailored to the learning styles and needs of the audience.
- **Training Delivery**

Organize and facilitate various training sessions, both in-person and online, ensuring effective delivery through individual and group instruction.

Coordinate workshops, meetings, demonstrations, and conferences to promote a comprehensive learning experience.
- **Travel to Headquarters**

Conduct training sessions at our Auckland headquarters to ensure consistency and quality across locations, fostering collaboration and shared learning within the organization.
- **Evaluation and Improvement**

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback collection and data analysis.

Review and modify training objectives and methodologies to enhance learning outcomes continuously.
- **Career Development Support**

Assist employees in their professional growth by developing personalized career development plans.

Provide mentorship and resources to support ongoing learning and skill enhancement.
- **Liaison with External Providers**

Collaborate with external training providers to arrange and deliver specialized training programs that complement our internal offerings, ensuring a diverse learning experience for employees.
- **Material Development**

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in training and development or a similar role is required if qualification requirement is not met.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in digital tools and platforms for training delivery.

**Remuneration and work location**:

- Pay range from: $36-$39 per hour
- Minimum working hours: 40 full time position
- Location: Level 2/282 Wakefield Street, Te Aro, Wellington
