Christchurch
- **Supporting music and the arts in Ōtautahi Christchurch**:

- **Bringing communities of people together**

The Piano (Centre for Music and the Arts) is a space devoted to musical arts, based in the heart of Ōtautahi Christchurch. The Piano is a place where our community is encouraged to participate, whether through performing, teaching, learning or connecting.

The first building in the Performing Arts Precinct in the heart of Christchurch, The Piano is a purpose-built venue with superior acoustics and intimate spaces that bring audiences and performers closer together.

The Piano’s purpose is to enable artists and audiences to create and discover transformative musical experiences and support the development of musical talent in Canterbury and New Zealand. Community Arts, Professional Arts, Next Generation Youth and Emerging Artists are all key to the success of The Piano, as are the audiences.

An independent charitable trust governed by a Board of Trustees, the Board is now seeking to appoint two new Trustees.

We seek interest from individuals with an appreciation of and connection with music and the arts. You will possess a well-developed level of business/commercial acumen, strategic thinking and with strong community connections and networks, supporting The Piano in its continued development and strategy.

Financial acumen, legal knowledge, or stakeholder engagement skills would be an advantage and a love for performing arts is essential.
