We are looking for an experienced Data and Insights Analyst to join our world class team in our efforts to gain maximum value for our marketing efforts. Reporting to the Global Manager Insights, your role will be to maximise value for Tourism New Zealand, our industry partners, markets, and government agencies through strategic analytical support, identification of tourism data and insights gaps and future opportunities.
Insights play a critical role in determining where and how we focus our organisational resource, ensuring evidence-based decision making, and ensures TNZ build's desire of New Zealand as a holiday destination for international audiences and shapes tourism demand to enrich Aotearoa and all who visit.
You will work with a small team of data and insights colleagues and be relied upon by global and market teams to contribute timely and relevant insights to inform their interventions. More importantly, you will positively collaborate with market and global teams and incorporate their insights and local market expertise into your thinking and work.
What you will need | Ngā pūkenga mō tēnei tūranga
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Finance/Economics, or Statistics
- A data and insights background with commercial and marketing industry experience with an excellent understanding of the power of consumer research and data to inform marketing strategy and implementation.
- An adaptable mindset and be comfortable and confident unearthing, analysing, and communicating insights from a variety of data sources including but not limited to primary consumer research, tourism and related data sets, analytics dashboards, consumer trends and economic data and be able to thread together and reveal insights.
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI or similar data
- Experience partnering with government and research agencies.
- Confident and experienced presenter to wide range of stakeholders.
