**Senior Data Analyst and Insights Advisor**

The Real Estate Authority - Te Mana Papawhenua (REA) is the independent government agency that regulates New Zealand’s real estate sector to promote and protect the interests of buyers and sellers. As part of this role, REA oversees the regulatory framework and professional development of those working in the real estate sector and provides information for people who are buying and selling property.

**Mō te tūnga | About the role**
- The purpose of this role is to build data analysis and reporting to provide insights on market trends, and themes from REA’s licensing, enquiries and complaints that may indicate risks and harms in the real estate sector.
- Work with REA teams to deliver the intelligence and insights data strategy that is focused on regulatory drivers and risks, and regulatory impact.
- As REA’s data and insights lead, you will provide data and insights services across the business and work closely with IT to ensure REA’s systems give effect to the data strategy.
- Preserve and promote the quality and integrity of data and intelligence at REA to ensure it is a robust and reliable source of knowledge and information.

**Mō koe | About you**
- Tertiary qualification in a statistics or data-centric filed.
- Naturally curious and willing to understand the business and sector in which we operate by working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- A proven critical thinker, you will be comfortable utilising data and research insights to support the delivery of harm prevention initiatives and activities.
- Experienced in working with a range of data extraction, intelligence analysis and reporting.
- Technical expertise in data models, database design, data mining and segmentation techniques.
- Ability to translate complex and technical information into information easily understood by non-technical staff.
