Head of Digital Strategy

Nearly three-quarters of the port's inbound cargo stays within the Auckland and Upper Waikato region. Our location on Auckland's doorstep means the delivery of goods is quick, the cost of goods is low, and we are focusing on reducing our carbon footprint to become a sustainable Port. We also have a network of freight hubs throughout the North Island, to improve access to the port for the provinces.

Are you an experienced Digital Leader with a strong track record in strategic execution? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Senior Leadership Team as the **Head of Digital Strategy**, reporting directly to the General Manager of Digital.

**ABOUT THE ROLE | Te tūranga mahi**

As the Head of Digital Strategy, you will be responsible for:

- ** Leadership**:Overseeing a dedicated team of Product Managers, Business Analysts, and a Portfolio Manager, ensuring that the team maintains the appropriate level and depth of skills required to deliver the required services effectively and efficiently.
- ** Strategic Development**: Shape the way in which we digitally enable and support the Port's business, through building, developing, and maintaining our Digital Business services.
- ** Collaboration & Delivery**: Working closely with cross-functional teams to define and execute digital strategies, ensuring the successful delivery of major digital projects that are aligned with business priorities.
- ** Vendor Ecosystem Management**: Building and sustaining a robust and effective vendor ecosystem, fostering partnerships that support our digital capabilities.
- ** Technological Excellence**: Driving the development of efficient and resilient technological systems that meet company expectations and contribute to overall business success.
- ** Team Empowerment**: Leading the Digital Strategy team to ensure the effective strategic and lifecycle management of our digital services, while recognising and celebrating both team and individual achievements.
- ** Mentorship**: Providing mentorship and coaching, cultivating a culture of continuous growth and high performance.

Your leadership style is grounded in servant leadership, fostering an environment where collaboration and high performance are the norms. You excel at strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and have a strong track record of aligning digital efforts with broader business strategies.

**WHAT YOU NEED | Ngā pūkenga me whēako**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., PGDipBus)
- Professional certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, CAPM, SAFe, Six Sigma)
- Demonstrated experience in leading the development and implementation of digital strategies in alignment with business objectives.
- Proven success in portfolio management and project delivery.
- Strong vendor relationship management skills.
- Exceptional team management and leadership abilities, with a focus on building and sustaining a high-performance, high-engagement team culture.
- Advanced stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Financial acumen, including experience in budgeting and cost/benefit analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with performance management expertise.
