**The role**:
Reporting to the Managing Director and a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Finance will have responsibilities across finance, systems, processes and IT. The Head of Finance will bring a significant focus on business optimisation and efficiencies.

An exceptional leader, you will have comprehensive financial experience and understanding in delivering commercially; with particular emphasis on inventory cashflow and debtor management.

More specifically you will be responsible for:

- Overseeing all financial aspects of Huffer, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting
- Ensuring the company's financial health by monitoring financial performance, analysing variances, and implementing corrective actions when necessary
- Overseeing the management of labour costs, stock purchasing, stock obsolescence and cost control
- Collaborating with senior management to develop long-term retail-specific financial strategies
- Managing cash flow and ensuring efficient use of working capital
- Managing detailed retail profit and loss cost centres, including tracking and analysing sales, margins, and expenses at a store level
- Building and leading a high-performing finance team
- Coordinating external audits and tax activities and preparing financial statements, tax returns and all financial compliance
- Maintaining a comprehensive risk management framework.

**Skills and experience we are looking for**:

- CA qualification or similar
- Proven experience in a finance leadership position
- Experience in either retail, export or a product-based organisation.
