- The Building’s team includes engineers in the primary disciplines of Structural, Civil, Building Services and Façade engineering. The team delivers projects regionally and contributes to the Group’s growth in APNA region. This includes a digital engineering approach to design and documentation, encompassing a suite of tools in an effective digital workflow. Our Structural team pride themselves on knowledge sharing, mentoring the next cohort of engineers coming into the industry, and working together to deliver exciting and innovative solutions to projects.
- **The Role**
- We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our high performing team in Auckland, as part of our Built Environment sector. You will take responsibility for the design, documentation, and delivery of interesting projects across New Zealand, and will have the opportunity to work closely and develop relationships with key clients, architects, and other industry partners.
- Along with being responsible for the technical quality on projects that you lead, you will also check the accuracy of the work from other team members. This role will involve mentoring and development of junior members of the team.
- This role will see you:

- Act as a Project Engineer on projects of various sizes, while managing** **a small team of engineers and technicians
- Agree design philosophy/design fundamentals.
- Review and comment on deliverables produced by Engineers & Technicians at key stages through a project.
- Have knowledge of concept design, detailed design, construction techniques, procurement routes, risk assessment and claim assessment
- Be responsible for your teams dlivery and accuracy in the production of drawings, calculations and reports- Be a technical expert in your field, and manage a team.

- You will have demonstrable experience in a range of interesting projects, and having chartered engineer status would bring a lot to the role. Having varied experience in buildings projects with an in-depth understanding of structural behaviour, and the ability to manage design and construction stages of a project will see you succeed in the role.
