As part of BNZ's Colleague Strategy tīma (team), this key leadership role brings together the domains of Performance, Reward and People Analytics to drive a culture of excellence, engagement and continuous improvement to help BNZ achieve its goals and stay ahead in a competitive environment.

We spoke with the GM, Colleague Strategy (who you'd report to), who let us know the following about the role:
**What are five day-to-day tasks the Head of Performance & Reward is responsible for?**
- Remuneration governance and the ongoing strategic development of BNZ's reward offerings
- Contributing to P&C's broader strategic ambitions for our colleagues
- Using data analysis to both challenge and inform people leader decision-making
- Leading and motivating a diverse tīma of five
- Liaising and collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders across both BNZ and National Australia Bank
BNZ is undertaking a refresh of its HRIS and payroll platforms (Workday) as part of a wider HR Transformation. The Performance, Reward & Analytics tīma are a key enabler of delivering an awesome colleague experience and gaining the benefits of the investment in this programme. Current activity is across a wide range of key foundations, with a particular focus on introducing a new job architecture framework to BNZ. Our Analytics focus will evolve to leverage the new self-service reporting and analytics, while building our P&C tīma, and will deliver meaningful insight to inform enterprise decision making.

**What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity?**
The nature of the role means you should be confident in navigating difficult conversations, providing constructive feedback, while maintaining a supportive and fair approach that will enable BNZ to achieve its objectives. Strong consulting and influencing skills are must.
