Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
As the Data Services Coordinator you will be working with a team of analysts to make health and disability data accessible. The primary purpose of the Data Services Coordinator role is to provide strong and effective coordination support to the manager and analysts in the Data Services Team, and to assist other teams in the wider National Collections and Reporting (NCR) Group.
This will include developing and maintaining efficient administrative systems and processes to manage team functions such as logging jobs and standing orders; data sharing; invoicing; filing; coordinating the approval process for publishing data; coordinating website updates; responding to queries for access to published data; and assisting with data administration and data management work in other NCR teams.

You will bring your high-level organisation skills, sharp eye for detail, and high level of accuracy in your work. You will have numeracy skills, and be comfortable working data, including checking data outputs for accuracy.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**:
Previous work experience in a similar or related role where administration and coordination were key components of your work would be beneficial for success in this role.
- High level of computer literacy including a good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
- Numeracy skills - the ability to work with and check data.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to manage relationships with people at a range of levels both inside and outside the organisation
- Proven ability to develop, maintain and improve operational systems (tracking, filing, invoicing, monitoring, reporting)
- Excellent organisational skills, and ability to manage a large array of jobs simultaneously
- A good understanding of data privacy requirements, particularly with personal health information
- A good understanding of the importance of data quality and accuracy, including accuracy of data entry and data checking
This role requires and/or would benefit from the following
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a willingness to learn and grow
