**Business Support (L2) - Legal Services**
- 6-month secondment opportunity

We have seen a growth in our work due to the compliance and debt focus and we have an exciting opportunity for a person in our Auckland Office Business Support (L2) secondment in Legal Services for 6 months to meet this demand. This role is based in our, Takapuna or Manukau office to support our litigation team predominately focused on debt work (including liquidations and bankruptcy’s).
Our Business Support draft court documents to be reviewed by solicitors, liaise with various courts, arrange service of documents on taxpayers via process servers, assist in the preparation of material to be presented in some court hearings, manage physical documents as well as keeping these, START and SharePoint up to date. They also track information, making sure the correct process is followed and timeframes adhered to. They are a close-knit team who are able to work together to balance their priorities.

Legal Services works across CCS, working closely with IRs customer segments providing support, advise, dispute resolution and litigation and tax technical services. Legal Services is part of CCS - Business and is one of the largest government in-house legal teams.
This secondment will provide a development opportunity for you to:
- Learn and undertake the process once Legal Services receive the work.
- Develop wider knowledge and understanding of the whole end to end case lifecycle.
- Add value to the Business Support role by bringing your perspective and how we can continue to work together to improve the level of service and understanding between the two roles.
- Grow your knowledge, skills and capabilities including digital literacy, information knowledge management and quality decision making.
- Gain a broader understanding of Legal Services and strengthen the relationship between Legal Services and the different segments.
At the end of this secondment, you will be able to share your learnings with your teams around the end-to-end process and the relationship with Legal Services, as well as being able to have more in-depth conversations with your customers about their options.
