Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Working within our Hospital and Specialist Services (HSS) team, you will have shared accountability for the delivery of our Mental Health Services. Here you will be ensuring equitable access to hospital and specialist services, supporting the access and ongoing development of specialist Mental health advice and services.
As a Lead Specialist you will be responsible to lead the continuous improvement in the standards and safety of care and create an environment in which excellence is imbedded across the district. You will be working with the district Mental health leads to create a patient and whānau centred model of care.
This is a full-time, 12 month fixed term role.

Mōu | About you
You will be a registered medical professional with a practicing certificate in medicine, nursing, or allied health, scientific and technical and have previously worked in a senior leadership role. You will thrive off building long-lasting relationships across multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Within your previous roles you will have implemented significant changes to systems, process and people ensuing equitable outcomes across heath.
