**Mātau rōpū ake | About our group and team**
Te Mahau | Te Pae Aronui (Operations & Integration). We use information, insights and service design functions to help the three Te Mahau frontline groups design and deliver services for our sector. We service and support the frontline groups and play an integration role between these enabling functions and our frontline services.
Our group provides nationally consistent service design, practice guidance and systems to support the integrated frontline teams led by Directors of Education providing flexible and responsive services.
We deliver national resourcing functions, including inclusive learning support, and national regulatory functions.
The Service Support team is responsible for oversight of a range of programmes and services that support ākonga across Aotearoa New Zealand to be engaged and achieve in education. The team has a strong commitment to giving practical effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Ka Hikitia - Ka Hāpaitia and, promoting positive and sustainable change for ākonga Māori.
**Mō tēnei tūranga | About this role**
The Specialist Service Lead, Positive Behaviour for Learning will work in the Service Support, Learning Support team in Te Pae Aronui, Te Mahau. The Specialist Service Lead will be responsible for the development, delivery and reporting of portfolios within the PB4L work programme as directed. They will be responsible for ensuring that PB4L is well coordinated with other Learning Support services and will work across Te Mahau to ensure there is regional consistency in delivery and reporting processes.
The Specialist Service Lead PB4L will be recognised as a leading learning support practitioner with a demonstrated ability to work strategically across specialist disciplines and collaboratively with leaders, stakeholders, educators, whānau and iwi.
This role will make a significant contribution to supporting the implementation of projects and programmes, supporting sector leaders and communities to have access to the expertise, programmes and resources that will allow our children and young people to reach their full potential.
The salary band for this role is $92,598 - $113,175 depending on skills and experience.

**Mōhou ake | About you**
To be successful in the role, you'll be working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders, including developing relationships at senior levels. Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent level of practical experience is required along with experience with working in a Kaupapa Māori environment.
You will offer the following:
- Experience of working in a government agency with a sound understanding of the machinery of government, public sector delivery structures and systems, particularly within the education sector
- Provision of expert guidance and the development of resources to support practice improvement
- Demonstrated ability to understand linkages with initiatives within and outside area of work
- Experience of providing high quality and timely advice, written and verbal
- Experience in linking with other organisations to support the development of evidence based best practice
- Demonstrated ability to work co-operatively and flexibly with others to solve problems or complete tasks
- Relationship and stakeholder management experience.
