Production Planning Coordinator

Our client is a busy production environment located in beautiful, rural South Canterbury. They need an organised and highly motivated Production Planning Coordinator to join their Planning team in a permanent role. This role will be responsible for developing the production schedule across 5 production lines as well as planning and maintaining the daily schedule and workflow.

This role is full of variety, challenge, and change - so if you like things to tick along quietly, then perhaps keep scrolling The planning team members are experts in problem-solving and works collaboratively with the production team to find solutions to planning constraints, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled - complete, and on time.

Key tasks for this role include:

- Preparing the daily and weekly production plan
- Calculating production capacity based on forecasted demand from customers
- Attend New Product Development meetings as the planning team representative
- Drive quality improvements and support our production team in identifying the root cause of issues
- Prepare and coordinate the production of seasonal production schedules
- Provide 2IC cover to the Production Planner

Ideally, you have worked within a manufacturing environment and have gained a qualification in either science, manufacturing, or logistics.

You are a strong project manager, have experience working with an ERP system, and are a gun user of Microsoft Excel.
