Description

The role  

In this opportunity as a Safety Coordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting Alpine's Safety Team to deliver exceptional health and safety advice, influence practices, and enhance performance across all activities. You'll be the go-to person for coordination, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. Helping shape a strong safety culture that keeps our people safe.

As a Safety Coordinator in our Safety team, you will be responsible for:

· Providing admin and coordination support for safety meetings and compliance weeks

· Assisting in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety plans

· Building strong relationships with leaders and teams to influence safety performance

What you'll need

· Experience in a similar role (Usually 2+ years)

· Knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, and associated regulations

· Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

· The ability to present information effectively while getting support and buy in from the audience

Nice to haves

· New Zealand Certificate in Workplace Health and Safety Practice (Level 4)

· Knowledge of the Electricity Act 1992, and associated regulations
