**About the company**

AGPRO NZ Ltd has been in operation for over 20 years, specialising in ‘direct-to-end-user’ herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, adjuvants and crop nutrition for the New Zealand agriculture and silvicultural sectors. This is a fully integrated business, sourcing raw materials and manufacturing at their South Auckland facility as well as importing finished goods for distribution to their clients nationwide. With an in-house research laboratory they are able to provide technically superior products, and aim to manage the business in a sustainable and environmentally responsible way.

With growth comes change. This is a new role, responsible for managing commercial and sales management of the AGPRO’s New Zealand operation. Are you ready for a new challenge?

**About the role**

Reporting to the APAC General Manager, you will manage the commercial and sales aspects of this business unit while working alongside your colleagues in Operations, Logistics and Technical. You will lead the Technical Sales and Customer Service teams to optimise sales opportunities and provide pest control solutions direct to a diverse client base that includes farmers, councils, and contract applicators.
- Your role will combine:_
- Be the senior contact point for all Sales and Marketing enquiries, and a conduit of information between Sales, Production and Technical departments.
- Leadership - providing support and guidance to the sales team to promote greater market penetration and identify new business opportunities.
- Set and communicate sell price for all agrochemical products.
- Forecast demand and the timing of finished product production or importation.
- Manage marketing spend to maximise return on advertising investment.
- Coordinate promotion events, field days and group meetings.
- Undertake the initial investigation of new products, their projected financial returns etc., and continuously review the viability or improvement of existing product.

**Skills and experience**
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Agriscience, Botany or other relevant disciplines.
- Several years’ experience in sales and/or marketing.
- Knowledge of cost management, pricing and contract negotiations.
- Experience dealing with third party logistics, freight and warehousing.
- A confident and engaging personality, comfortable working autonomously while also enjoying the camaraderie of a tight-knit team of driven professionals.
- You can be summed up as: performance driven and customer focused, organised, reliable and consistent, honest, persuasive, action orientated, energetic self-starter, team player and possessing a great sense of humour.
