Are you ready to be part of something bigger? We are a unit with a significant system role, working across government to take collective action against family violence and sexual violence.

We steward the family violence and sexual violence system and drive realisation of the cross-agency strategy—Te Aorerekura. We work in partnership with communities across Aotearoa New Zealand, placing survivors, families, and whānau at the heart of everything we do.

As an Advisor, you will support evaluation, and continuous improvement to ensure learning initiatives are violence
- and trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and aligned with The Centre's workforce capability frameworks.

This role is grounded in the five principles that underpin the Family Violence Entry to Expert Capability Framework (E2E) and the Specialist Family Violence Organisational Standards (SOS). You will help operationalise these principles by ensuring learning initiatives prioritise equity, accountability, collaboration, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.

**How You Will Work Grounded in These Principles**

**Kotahitanga - Relationships & Inclusion**
- Support workforce capability building initiatives and approaches that are inclusive and reflect diverse community needs, ensuring programmes prioritise equity and incorporate Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.

**Kaitiakitanga - Protection & Accountability**
- Evaluate capability building programmes to ensure they enhance safety and effectiveness while maintaining accountability measures.

**Mahi Tahi - Collaboration & Advocacy**
- Work alongside The Centre member agencies to ensure capability building approaches align with workforce capability frameworks.

**Ora - Wellbeing & Restoration**
- Ensure workforce capability building programmes are victim-survivor-centred and promote whānau-centred, strengths-based approaches.

**Koi Mahi - Innovation & Learning**
- Support the continuous improvement of workforce capability initiatives, using evaluation insights and best practice to refine learning programmes.

**What You'll Do**
- **Support** FVSV workforce capability programme evaluation and development.
- **Analyse** training data to improve workforce capability initiatives.
- **Engage** with partner agencies to align learning with workforce capability frameworks.
- **Assist** in improving and developing violence and trauma informed, culturally responsive learning resources.
- **Contribute** to continuous improvement in workforce capability development.

**Ō pūkenga / Skills and Experience**

To be successful in this role, you will:

- Be committed to the principles of te Tiriti o Waitangi and equity in learning.
- Hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Learning & Development, Education, Research and Evaluation), or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience in a related field.
- Be comfortable working collaboratively with multiple agencies and stakeholders.
- Understand violence
- and trauma-informed, culturally responsive learning approaches and their role in workforce capability development.
