**What you’ll be doing**

The New Zealand Government’s commitment to global climate change action and its target to be a carbon zero nation by 2050 will require change on a big scale. We believe our fibre broadband network has an important part to play. At the heart of our sustainability approach is our purpose, to make New Zealand better, and we'll do this by championing digital futures, supporting the wider environment and helping people thrive.

Being a part of our dedicated Sustainability team, we’re really excited about this newly created position

Reporting to the Emissions and Climate Manager, your responsibilities include:

- Being across the evolving climate change legislative framework and understand what it means for Chorus.
- Supporting the Emissions and Climate Manager in driving emissions reductions across the business by supporting the implementation of the Emissions Reduction Plan.
- Managing the management and refinement of our emissions data so we have a comprehensive view of our Green House Gas inventory and can be fully transparent in our reporting.
- Working closely with the Partnerships team and our key suppliers / service companies on initiatives that support the emissions reduction journeys of the entire supply chain.
- Supporting the creation of our annual sustainability report, owning the content and data points for the emission reporting and the emissions component of the climate related disclosures.
- Being an active participant in Sustainable Business Council activities and membership.

**What **you’ll** bring to the table**

Your ability to partner and influence stakeholders across the business is critical as you translate insights into meaningful stories.

Having experience in Climate Change reporting in a complex organisation is ideal for this role. However, if you have proven success in an insights and analytics role and have a keen interest in sustainability related topics, we would love to learn more about you
